Jane Honnigman reports the passing of classmate rick Johnson on Dec 1 2012:

My best buddie for 53+ years and our classmate at East, died suddenly this morning at home in Vero Beach, Florida. Rick Johnson had a perspective on life that allowed him to 'maintain the cools', honor his friends with fierce loyality and keep us all in tears with his funny stories and tall tales. He was a man of honor. Surely the pines will hush for a moment of silence in his passing.

There will be a memorial and burial of ashes next summer in Duluth. I will alert all of you as to the date and time. Please say a prayer for Rick and his great wife, Kathy and two sons and grandchildren
